Eric Collins joined ESPN in 2004 as a play-by-play commentator for ESPN, primarily working college football and other select college sports. He has also called select College World Series telecasts and USA women’s softball games.
From 2002-03, Collins worked for ABC Sports as a college football play-by-play commentator. Prior to ABC Sports, Collins called Fox Sports’ coverage of NFL Europe games in 2002. Collins also served as a play-by-play commentator for Fox Sports Chicago from 2000-04, calling DePaul and Horizon League basketball games. In addition, he served as an anchor and reporter for Fox Sports Chicago from 1996-02. From 1999-01, Collins was the radio voice of the Schaumburg Flyers of Northern League Baseball.
Collins graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1991 with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and from Syracuse University with a master of arts degree in broadcast journalism in 1992.
