On March 30, ESPNEWS HD debuted.The shift to HD enables ESPNEWS to make the most of the 16 x 9 high-definition television viewing area, offering fans an enhanced viewing experience. ESPNEWS HD also affords new graphic sponsorship placement opportunities for advertisers. On August 28, ESPNU HD launched and is projected to aired approximately 200 HD events in its first year. ESPNU HD offers exclusive live event coverage of college football, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, softball, volleyball, wrestling, hockey and more as well as encore presentations of ESPN HD, ESPN2 HD and ABC HD college sports content. |
