ESPNU 2006-07 MEN'S COLLEGE ICE HOCKEY SCHEDULE

Over 20 Regular-Season Games Scheduled; ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU To Televise Entire NCAA Championship

ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network, will air more than 20 regular-season Division I men's college ice hockey games this season. The network's coverage will continue Sunday, Oct. 22 when #3 North Dakota hosts #4 Maine at 3 p.m. In addition, for a third year, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine for complete coverage of the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Championship, televising all 15 games from the selection show to the Frozen Four. ESPN began coverage of the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Championship in 1980.

The schedule is highlighted by games featuring many of the top 15 teams in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine weekly poll, including #1 Boston College, #5 Michigan and #12 New Hampshire. Of the 28 schools featured, generally on Sundays, eight qualified for the 2006 NCAA Tournament.

ESPNU began coverage Friday, Oct. 6, with the Ice Breaker Tournament, which featured host #9 Miami (Ohio), Colgate, #11 Denver and #10 Vermont, and on Oct. 15 televised #8 Michigan State at Western Michigan. ESPN360, ESPN's customized broadband service, will also offer live coverage of the sport and will announce its schedule on a later date. Below is ESPNU's regular-season schedule, as well as the NCAA tournament schedule.
