Former NFL star offensive tackle and seven-time Pro Bowl participant Lomas Brown joined ESPN in 2004. He primarily appears on ESPN2’s weekday morning show, First Take (10 – noon ET) and ESPNEWS during the football season. 

Brown played 11 NFL seasons, mostly with the Detroit Lions (1985–1995)  before stints with the Arizona Cardinals (1996-98), Cleveland Browns (1999), New York Giants (2000-01) and finishing his career with the Super Bowl XXXVII champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2002-03). 

In addition to his ESPN work, Brown also appears on Sports Final Edition on WDIV, the NBC affiliate in Detroit. Since retiring, he has also appeared on the NFL Network and hosted the Lions post-game show “The 5th Quarter.” 

Brown attended the University of Florida where he was a first-team All-American and earned a bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation.  He was the sixth overall draft pick to the Detroit Lions in the 1985 NFL Draft.
