College Football Analyst
Ed Cunningham, who joined ABC Sports as a college football analyst in August 2000, currently serves as the analyst on the ESPN2 College Football Saturday Primetime game with Mark Jones.
Prior to ESPN, Cunningham began his broadcast career as an analyst for KUTP-TV’s coverage of the Arena Football League’s Arizona Rattlers from 1995-99. He also provided weekly commentary on KGME AM in Phoenix. In his last three seasons with KUTP-TV, he joined CBS as a regional football analyst.
An active filmmaker, Cunningham has produced New York Doll, a 2005 Sundance Film Festival documentary, and The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, the 2007’s Sports Illustrated Sports Movie of the Year.
Cunningham graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in business finance in 1991. While at Washington, he was a captain of the 1991 National Championship team. Cunningham was a two-time Academic All-American as well as a second-team All-American and All-Pac 10 offensive lineman.
Cunningham was drafted 61st overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 1992. He played four seasons there as a starting offensive, and played his final season with the Seattle Seahawks in 1996.
