Glenn Jacobs is senior coordinating producer for SportsCenter Digital, Now and Next-Generation Content.

 Prior to this role, he oversaw the Planning and Coverage Unit (2011-14), including all bureau reporters and producers, with a focus on using new technology to enhance ESPN’s newsgathering. In 2008, Glenn led the launch of the live weekday SportsCenter editions ( a.m.-3 p.m. ET), and SportsCenter’s Facebook page and Twitter feed. 

 An award-winning producer, Jacobs previously was responsible for the 6 p.m. weeknight and weekend-morning SportsCenter (2006-08), and the Feature Unit (2002-2006). 

 Since joining ESPN in 1992, Jacobs has been the recipient of nine Sports Emmy Awards, five Edward R. Murrow Awards, and two New York Festival Gold Medals for a variety of programs and features. 

 Prior to becoming a producer, he worked for Disney Regional Entertainment (1998-2002), where he was instrumental in the launch of ESPN Zone restaurants, a brand extension of ESPN.  As director of programming, Jacobs was responsible for all broadcasting, audio, video, art, and grand opening events for all the restaurants. He was also responsible for ESPNZone.com, the integrated website for all Zone locations.  

 Jacobs began his ESPN career as a production assistant on SportsCenter and SportsNight (1992-1994), and served as associate producer for SportsCenter and NFL Gameday/Countdown (1994-1998).  

 A native of Vernon, Conn., Jacobs received a bachelor of arts in government with a minor in theatre from Connecticut College.
