One of the most accomplished young executives in sports radio, Hernan Pereyra joins ESPN Deportes Radio as an executive producer. Pereyra’s responsibilities include overseeing all the programming and talent on ESPN Deportes Radio. He also co-hosts the weekday afternoon show “Jorge Ramos y su Banda. “
Pereyra is preparing himself for one of the biggest event in sports: The 2010 FIFA World Cup, were he is going to be co-hosting the ESPN Deportes TV show “Jorge Ramos y Su Banda” directly from South Africa.
A native of Argentina, Pereyra came to the U.S. in 1990 and began his career at Union Radio 1450 AM in Miami. From there, he moved to Radio Caracol, where he was the host and producer of the program “Todo Futbol,” as well as the play-by-play announcer for the Tampa Bay Mutiny’s opening MLS season.
Pereyra’s past positions include anchor and producer at CBS Telenoticias, producer of NFL and NBA specials for Cadena Latina, commentator for SKY Television and co-host and executive producer for Radio Unica Network. At Radio Unica, Pereyra covered the 1998 World Cup in France, the Mexican Soccer League, the NBA Finals and the qualifying matches for the 2002 World Cup in Japan and Korea. Most recently, Pereyra was an executive producer of Univision Radio Network.
