Andy Katz is a senior college basketball writer for covering the NCAA as well as the NBA draft.  Katz also does the daily 3-point shot video for Katz also appears on ESPN networks in a reporting, analyzing and hosting capacity.

Katz also is a primary backup host for ESPN’s Outside The Lines.

Katz debuted his own weekly show on ESPNU, Katz Korner,  in January 2013. In 2012 he began collaborating with ESPN college basketball analyst Seth Greenberg on podcasts. The “best of” content from their episodes airs on ESPN radio Saturday mornings.

Prior to joining in November 1999, Katz served as the national basketball writer for the Fresno Bee from 1995-99.  He also has had stints at the Albuquerque Journal (1990-95) and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (1989-90) and is a former president of the United States Basketball Writers Association. Katz is also recognized as one of the distinguished alumni of the Daily Cardinal, the student newspaper at the University of Wisconsin.

Katz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science from the University of Wisconsin in 1990. He minored in Soviet and East European studies.

ESPN Extends Andy Katz Contract
