Marc Kestecher joined ESPN in 1999 as an ESPN Radio Sportscenter update anchor. Kestecher is currently the lead studio host for ESPN Radio’s NBA, MLB, and college football broadcasts, and a fixture at major events such as NBA All-Star Weekend, NBA Finals, NBA Draft, World Series, MLB All-Star Game, and the BCS Championship Game.
Kestecher’s play-by-play assignments for ESPN Radio include College Football, College Basketball, and the NBA. He can be seen regularly performing play-by-play duties on ESPN TV (NBA and men’s and women’s college basketball), including the 2010 FIBA World Championships. Kestecher has also served as a reporter for ESPN Radio’s coverage of major events such as the Super Bowl and US Open Championship.
Prior to joining ESPN, Kestecher was an anchor, reporter, and talk host at WKNR in Cleveland, OH (1996 – 1999). Previously, he served as Sports Director at WPTR/WROY in Albany, NY (1992 – 1996) and play-by-play announcer for the Albany Patroons (CBA) and Albany Firebirds (Arena Football).
A Guilderland, N.Y., native, Kestecher attended Syracuse University.
