Marc Kestecher

ESPN Radio Host and Play-by-Play Commentator

Marc Kestecher joined ESPN in 1999 as an ESPN Radio Sportscenter update anchor. Kestecher is currently the lead play-by-play voice for the NBA on ESPN Radio, and also provides commentary for ESPN Radio’s NFL, college football and college basketball broadcasts, and is a fixture at major events such as NBA All-Star Weekend, NBA Finals, NBA Draft, World Series, MLB All-Star Game, and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

In addition to Kestecher’s play-by-play duties, he is the lead studio host for the MLB World Series, College Football Playoff Semifinals and National Championship game. He can be seen occasionally performing play-by-play duties on ESPN TV (NBA and men’s and women’s college basketball).  Kestecher has also served as a reporter for ESPN Radio’s coverage of major events such as the Super Bowl and US Open Championship.

Prior to joining ESPN, Kestecher was an anchor, reporter, and talk host at WKNR in Cleveland, OH (1996 – 1999).  Previously, he served as Sports Director at WPTR/WROW in Albany, NY (1992 – 1996) and play-by-play announcer for the Albany Patroons (CBA) and Albany Firebirds (Arena Football).

A Guilderland, N.Y., native, Kestecher attended Syracuse University.
