ESPNU, UNITE HOST

“Marianela” Pereyra is a host on ESPNU’s late-night studio show, UNITE. Prior to the show’s debut in August 2012, Marianela had previously appeared on ESPNU as the co-host of ESPNU Road Trip exploring college campus tailgates and traditions country wide. She also hosted the Latin American Poker Tour for ESPN.

Marianela is a familiar face to the sports enthused late-night crowd after hosting NBC’s Poker After Dark. She has also hosted SPEED’s live Friday night show Trackside since 2011. In addition she’s held various roles on FOX Sports, CBS, Travel Channel and CNN.

Marianela found her way onto television after hosting and producing a Latin-Pop music video show while attending the University of Maryland.  She went to be a VJ on FUSE TV and appeared on the Daily Download where she interviewed some of the biggest names in the entertainment business. Marianela has covered the Grammy’s for Access Hollywood on NBC and co-hosted opposite Mario Lopez on MTV’s Top Pop Group.

Marianela graduated from Maryland in 2002 as a Dean’s Scholar with a psychology major and a minor in romance languages. She was a member of the dance team and PR director for the school’s International House. Fluent in Spanish, Marianela speaks four languages. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Marianela moved to the Washington, D.C. at the age of five and currently lives in Connecticut.
