Matt Kenny

Vice President, Affiliate Sales, Disney and ESPN Media Networks

Matt Kenny has served as vice president of affiliate sales, Disney and ESPN Media Networks since 2013. In this role, he oversees traditional and multiplatform digital content distribution for the Disney, ESPN and ABC media networks portfolio, including the ESPN-branded services, ABC, ABC Family, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Fusion and Longhorn Network. Kenny is responsible for contract negotiation, business development and strategic partnership functions with DIRECTV, DISH Network, Sling TV, Google Fiber and hundreds of small- and mid-sized accounts throughout the country.

Previously, Kenny served as vice president, field sales, western division for Disney and ESPN Media Networks where he led division and regional content distribution and market development efforts for 28 states across central and western U.S. Over the course of his career with The Walt Disney Company, Kenny consistently exceeded revenue goals for existing lines of business, played an integral role in the development and launch of several profitable market expansion initiatives and is widely recognized as a strong collaborator and successful team leader. A 16-year veteran of the company, Kenny joined ESPN in June 1999 as a financial analyst. Over the years, Kenny earned seven promotions across offices in Bristol, New York and Burbank.

Prior to ESPN, Kenny was the assistant business manager for the division of athletics at the University of Connecticut where he managed the operating budget for all varsity sports and administrative departments from 1997-99. Kenny also previously held positions with Nike and The Madison Square Garden Company.

Kenny received both his BS and MBA (Finance) from the University of Connecticut. Kenny resides with his wife and their four children in Ventura County, Calif.
