Mark Morgan joined ESPNEWS as an anchor in November 2005.
Prior to being at ESPN, Morgan began his broadcasting career at WKPT-TV in Kingsport, Tennessee in 1982, followed by nine years of being a sports anchor at WCSC-TV in Charleston, South Carolina from 1984-1993.
From 1993-2001, Morgan worked as a sports correspondent for CNN. While at CNN, he won an Emmy in 1996 for his work on the network’s coverage of the Olympic Park Bombing.
Over the years, Morgan gained additional broadcasting experience as an NBA Sideline Reporter for Turner Sports in Atlanta, and as an anchor for NBA-TV from 2001-2005. Morgan also spent time at NBC Sports and ABC Sports as a reporter for both networks from August 2004 to October 2005.
A native of Edmonton, Ky., Morgan was graduated from the University of Kentucky, and majored in telecommunications.
