Damon Phillips, vice president of WatchESPN & ESPN3, is charged with the general management of ESPN’s internet television networks and product development for the company’s digital video and audio products.  As part of his responsibilities, Phillips works closely with Disney & ESPN Media Networks and ESPN Consumer Marketing & Sales to provide value to distribution partners and advertisers.

Phillips is a seasoned sports media executive and entrepreneur whose experience spans television, digital media and sports properties. He joined ESPN in 2008, after founding SportsTVInsider.com, a personalized sports television recommendation engine. He has also held positions with the NBA, Disney, DIRECTV and USA Football.

He was named to SportsBusiness Journal’s Forty Under 40 List in 2010.  He has also been named to CableFAX’s Most Influential Minorities in Cable list and to its Digital Hot List.

Phillips earned a football scholarship to Stanford University and graduated with honors.  He lives near Hartford, Conn. where he coaches youth football and basketball.
