Ricky Williams

College Football Analyst

Ricky Williams is a college football analyst on Longhorn Network’s Texas GameDay and Texas GameDay Final. Williams joins Lowell Galindo, Ahmad Brooks and David Greene with live commentary and analysis from LHN’s set inside Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium for all home matches, and also appears in-studio during UT’s away games.

Williams was a running back for the University of Texas Longhorns from 1995-1998. During his college career he broke numerous records and was named two-time All-American, ultimately winning the Heisman Trophy in 1998. The university unveiled a statue in Williams’ honor near the stadium in April of 2012.

The New Orleans Saints drafted Williams in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He continued his career with the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens before retiring from the NFL in 2012.

In addition to working with Longhorn Network, Williams also serves as an assistant running back coach at The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. He is an active participant in the Ricky Williams Foundation, which he founded and continues to support.

Williams attended The University of Texas from 1995-1998. He returned to UT in 2013 and is currently working to earn his pre-med degree.
