Patrick Stiegman is responsible for all content and the overall editorial direction of ESPN’s leading portfolio of digital and print sports properties, including text, audio, video and multimedia content. He also oversees management of an award-winning team of more than 200 editors, writers and designers across ESPN.com and its network of related sites, ESPN The Magazine and espnW. Stiegman works closely with ESPN’s many news, information and programming units to develop greater cross-platform integration and development of cross-media franchises. He reports directly to John Kosner, Executive Vice President, Digital & Print Media, ESPN.
Stiegman joined the award-winning site in April 2004 and was most recently Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of ESPN.com. Prior to joining ESPN, he spent five years as vice president/editor of Journal Interactive, the award-winning Internet division of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, where he was responsible for editorial, business and strategic development of Journal Communication’s new media initiatives. He previously held senior management, editing, columnist and reporting roles at several Wisconsin newspapers, wire and online services, including Journal Interactive, the Milwaukee Sentinel, Badger Plus magazine, the Wisconsin State Journal and both AP and UPI.
Stiegman is a 1988 honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he was a University Scholar in the UW-Oshkosh Journalism School and minored in communications and political science.
