Tim Bunnell

Senior Vice President Production, Programming, Marketing and Advertising Sales - ESPN International

Tim Bunnell is senior vice president of production, programming, marketing and advertising sales, ESPN International. Bunnell splits his time between ESPN’s offices in Bristol, Connecticut and New York City.  He reports directly to Russell Wolff, executive vice president and managing director, ESPN International.

In the course of oversight of his areas of responsibility, he works closely with regional teams in Latin America, Europe and the Pacific Rim.  He also coordinates all of the company’s global programming agreements with ESPN’s joint ventures around the world and is responsible for the programming and marketing strategy across 24 networks reaching 61 countries and territories.

Bunnell joined ESPN International in 1994 as manager of distribution, Americas.  By 1998, he had been promoted to director, where he was responsible for managing programming relationships with affiliates throughout Latin America and Canada.  Bunnell joined ESPN Internet Group in 2000, where he oversaw the launch and development of ESPNdeportes.com and managed the reorganization of ESPNsoccernet.com (now ESPNFC.com).

Prior to joining ESPN International, Bunnell was a field producer for WHDH-TV, the CBS affiliate in Boston (1991-1993). He also served as an upper school teacher at the American International School in Vienna, Austria, where he taught courses in modern European history and world literature on the high school level (1989-1991).

A 1987 graduate of Tufts University, he has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.  In 1993, he received his M.A. in International Relations with honors from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.  He is fluent in Spanish.
