  • College Football Bowl Selection Special on ESPN Sunday, Dec. 8 and 12, both at 9 p.m.
  • College Football Awards Show Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. on ESPN.  ESPNU will have pre-awards and post-awards coverage at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively.
  • ESPN College Football Bowl Special on ESPN Sunday, Dec. 8, at 9 p.m.
  • Heisman Trophy Presentation Saturday, Dec. 14, at 8 p.m. on ESPN.


NFL
Monday Night Football continues on ESPN with four games in December. Leading up to every game is Monday Night Countdown from 6:30-8:25 p.m. ET. Sunday NFL Countdown also airs each week from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on ESPN in preparation for Sunday’s games.  MNF games air each week at 8:25 p.m.

  • Dec. 2: Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints visit Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks
  • Dec. 9: Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears host Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys
  • Dec. 16: Joe Flacco and the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens travel to Detroit to take on Calvin Johnson and the Detroit Lions
  • Dec. 23: The MNF season-finale features a rematch of last season’s NFC Championship when Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers host Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons.

 

BASKETBALL

NBA
ABC and ESPN will combine to serve as the exclusive national homes of the NBA on Christmas Day. The five-game schedule will be headlined by an ABC doubleheader: the New York Knicks and Carmelo Anthony hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder and Kevin Durant at 2:30 p.m. followed by the Miami Heat and LeBron James visiting the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant at 5 p.m.

Christmas Day will tip off on ESPN when the Brooklyn Nets host the Chicago Bulls – led by Derrick Rose – at 12 p.m. Additionally, ESPN will televise a prime-time doubleheader, starting with the San Antonio Spurs hosting the Houston Rockets and the newly acquired Dwight Howard at 8 p.m., followed by the Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry hosting the Los Angeles Clippers and Chris Paul at 10:30 p.m.

College
Jimmy V Men’s and Women’s Basketball Classics will be held on Tuesday, December 17, with proceeds from each event benefiting The V Foundation for Cancer Research. The 2013 events will feature top programs, including the defending women’s national champion Connecticut at Duke at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. The men’s tournament on ESPN will include two games – at 7 p.m. (Pittsburgh vs. Cincinnati) and 9 p.m. (Florida and Memphis).
