Two teams in the top five of the Dutch First Division play in two high-octane matches this weekend, kicking off with fifth-ranked Ajax making to trek to PEC Zwolle’s home grounds, then second-place PSV hosts SC Heerenveen.

The UEFA Europa League continues play in the second legs of three home-and-way series. Spanish club Atlético Madrid can strengthen its lead in Group B with a win over Portuguese club Académica. In Group H play, Serbian club Partizan visits Internazionale at the San Siro, and will look to move out of the bottom position.
In international play, two strong European matchups will be highlighted, with 2010 World Cup participant Slovakia taking on its neighbor and perennial contender Czech Republic in the first match of the day. In the second game, 2010 World Cup semifinalists Netherlands and Germany (also a EURO 2012 semifinalist) play in a game that will showcase some of the best players in the world including possible starters Dutch stars Robin Van Persie and Rafael Van der Vaart and Germans Mesut Ozil and Miroslav Klose.

Last year’s NBA Champions Miami Heat (3-1) visit the Los Angeles Clippers (2-2) in a primetime matchup pitting the Heat’s high-scoring offense (111.8 ppg) against the powerful Clippers and Jamal Crawford, who is currently the fourth-highest scorer in the league (24 ppg).
Miami has picked up where it left off last season, with a strong showing through four games. The off-season addition of Ray Allen to the team’s original “Big Three” has proved to be an advantage for the Heat, as the shooting guard is supplying 15.5 ppg and 28.5 mpg. The Clippers have four power players of their own, in Crawford, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Caron Butler.
Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers face Matt Cassel and the Kansas City Chiefs on ESPN’s Monday Night Football on Nov. 12. The Steelers have the longest MNF home winning streak with 14 victories on the Monday Night stage, and head coach Mike Tomlin holds the best record on MNF of active coaches at 6-1 (minimum of five games).

ESPN Deportes+, the new programming extension of ESPN Deportes and ESPN3 continues its exclusive coverage of Dominican Baseball. This week, Tigres del Licey visit Estrellas Orientales.
The league consists of six teams, each playing a 50-game, round-robin schedule with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs. The league’s champion advances to the Caribbean Series to play against the representatives from Mexico, Venezuela and Puerto Rico.
