47 Games, All Eight Weeks of College GameDay plus 16 Top 25 Teams Featured

ESPN 3D will focus on the 2012-13 men’s college basketball season with 47 live games, beginning Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. ET with the 2012 State Farm Champions Classic doubleheader, and culminating – for the first time – with the ACC Tournament, March 14-17, 2013. Other highlights on ESPN 3D this season include the Jimmy V Classic Presented by Corona Extra doubleheader on Tuesday, Dec. 4, with Texas vs. Georgetown and No. 6 NC State vs. Connecticut. In addition, all eight weeks of College GameDay Covered by State Farm and the corresponding games that night will be aired on ESPN 3D, beginning Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 10 a.m. followed by No. 21 Gonzaga at Butler at 9 p.m. For the full ESPN 3D live event schedule, click here.

The ESPN 3D season will tip off with four of the all-time winningest programs in the State Farm Champions Classic doubleheader. The matchups from Atlanta’s Georgia Dome, site of this year’s Final Four, will be No. 14 Michigan State vs. No. 7 Kansas at 7 p.m. and No. 8 Duke vs. No. 3 Kentucky at 9 p.m. Kentucky, defending NCAA champion, holds an 11-8 all-time series lead against Duke but lost the last meeting between the programs, 95-92, in 2001. Michigan State has won five of nine games against Kansas, including two victories in 2009.

“There’s no better way to start the season on ESPN 3D than with four top 15 teams,” said Nick Dawson, director, programming and acquisitions, ESPN. “We are excited to offer a consistent schedule of high-caliber college basketball for fans across the country to experience in 3D.”

ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm – the eight-week Saturday morning and evening college basketball studio program originating from the site of ESPN’s Saturday Primetime Presented by DIRECTV– returns this season on ESPN 3D beginning Saturday, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m. from the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis.

Up to fourteen schools on the Saturday Primetime schedule are ranked in the Associated Press preseason top 25 poll: No. 1 Indiana, No. 2 Louisville, No. 3 Kentucky, No. 5 Michigan, No. 6 NC State, No. 7 Kansas, No. 8 Duke, No. 11 North Carolina, No. 12 Arizona, No. 13 UCLA, No. 15 Missouri, No. 21 Gonzaga, No. 22 Notre Dame, and No. 24 Cincinnati.
