Spotlight: Twitter with Andy Katz
Andy Katz has been a leading voice in college basketball for more than 13 years at ESPN, and that voice has been extended in the last few years through Twitter. With over 200,000 followers Andy spoke with ESPN Front Row about Twitter prior to the debut of his new weekly show Katz Korner today at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Recruiting: 25 Players in the ESPN 100 Featured in Sunday-Monday Games
The GEICO ESPN High School Basketball Showcase series of 14 games across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU tips into high-gear this week with six games airing from the 2013 Spalding Hoop Hall Classic featuring 25 players in the ESPN 100. Those games are highlighted with a matchup between the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the ESPN 25 Power Rankings on Monday at 4 p.m.
ESPN networks will air more than 10 hours of high school coverage from the ESPN Recruiting Nation studio set on-site in Springfield, Mass.

College GameDay Covered by State Farm Heads to Butler for First Road Trip of the Season
ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm will make its first stop of the 2013 season, visiting Indianapolis for ESPN’s Saturday Primetime Presented by DIRECTV telecast of No. 13 Butler vs. No. 8 Gonzaga at 9 p.m. matchup Saturday, Jan. 19. In its ninth season, the first hour of GameDay begins at 10 a.m. on ESPNU and continues at 11 a.m. on ESPN, plus a one-hour edition at 8 p.m. on ESPN. GameDay is also available this week on ESPN 3D and WatchESPN.
In GameDay’s first visit to Hinkle Fieldhouse and Butler University, Saturday’s show will see the return of “Know Your Teammate,” featuring two Butler players and also a tribute to the movie Hoosiers – which was filmed at Hinkle.
Rece Davis will serve as host for College GameDay, and will be joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps and Jalen Rose to preview all the day’s action and discuss the biggest storylines in college basketball. Full College GameDay Schedule
Full Slate of Women’s College Basketball Games Including the Start of ESPN2’s Big Monday Schedule
ESPN2’s Big Monday presented by Bud Light schedule begins Monday, Jan. 21, with a showdown between No. 4 Duke at No. 3 Connecticut, at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. The seven-week schedule will showcase the best Division I women’s basketball programs in the nation – featuring 10 games and three February doubleheaders. Pam Ward and Rebecca Lobo will have the call of the Duke at UConn game.
Additional Highlights:
- ESPN3 is the home to several women’s college basketball games this week, including a BIG EAST tilt between Pittsburgh at St. John’s on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. Also on tap for Wednesday is New Hampshire at Albany at noon and Arkansas Little Rock at Middle Tennessee State at 8 p.m.
- Thursday’s schedule on ESPN3 includes Siena at Saint Peter’s at 6 p.m. and Nicholls State at Northwestern State at 6:30 p.m.
- ESPNU will be home to another Pac-12 duel between No. 14 UCLA at No. 7 Cal at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday
- Also on Sunday, an ACC duel between No. 10 Maryland at Georgia Tech on at 3 p.m. on ESPN2, following by No. 20 Texas A&M at No. 13 Georgia in an SEC contest at 5 p.m.
