Last Friday’s 2013 Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on ESPN delivered a 1.9 overnight rating, the best ever for the event, according to Nielsen. The 1.9 overnight rating is up six percent from 2012 (1.8) and 12 percent from 2011 (1.7). The telecast generated a 4.1 rating in San Antonio, Texas and a 3.7 rating in Miami, Fla. – the two top markets. The Celebrity Game peaked twice with a 2.1 rating at 8:15-8:30 p.m. ET and again at 8:45-9 p.m.
The West – led by comedian Kevin Hart – defeated the East 58 to 38. For the second consecutive year, Hart was named Celebrity Game MVP.
