ESPN NFL Programming Highlights

ESPN ramps up its NFL coverage in the week ahead with special programming highlighting the start of free agency, as well as live coverage of NFL Pro Days. Highlights:

  • ESPN NFL analyst and six-time National Football League Executive of the Year Bill Polian discussed NFL free agency on a media conference call Tuesday. Both the audio replay and transcript are available at ESPN Media Zone. (Note: Polian will be honored by The Touchdown Club of New Orleans on Saturday, March 9, with the Pete Rozelle Award for his contributions to the sport and the NFL.)
  • ESPN Front Row calls on the free agency experiences of Polian and former NFL head coaches Herm Edwards and Eric Mangini in today’s post: ESPN analysts Polian, Edwards and Mangini offer expertise and insight on NFL free agency.
  • ESPN NFL insider John Clayton will preview top free agents and assess contending teams’ free agency needs on Inside the Huddle on Saturday, March 9, at 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. ET on ESPN Radio. On March 16, Clayton will review all key signings.
  • Trey Wingo will host a one-hour SportsCenter Special: Parcells and Polian Free Agency Preview on Sunday, March 10, at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN. Polian will join ESPN contributor and Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2013 inductee Bill Parcells to examine the NFL free agency process, players to watch, and more. The SportsCenter Special will reair on ESPN2 on Sunday, March 10, at midnight and Tuesday, March 12, at 1:30 a.m.
  • When NFL free agency begins on Tuesday, March 12, ESPN’s NFL insiders and analysts will provide updates and analysis on player signings throughout the day. In addition to studio coverage on SportsCenter, NFL Live and two special editions of NFL32, NFL insider Adam Schefter will remain in studio throughout the evening for additional reports about free agent signings.   • ESPN3 will present Clemson Pro Day live on Thursday, March 7, at 10:30 a.m. This will be the first of more than half a dozen Pro Days across the ACC, SEC and Pac-12 on ESPN3.
  • St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson, who is expected to become a free agent on March 12, will visit ESPN’s Bristol, Conn., campus on Friday, March 8. Jackson will appear as a guest on SportsCenter (12 p.m., ESPN) and NFL Live (4 p.m., ESPN).
