Longhorn Network, the 24/7 University of Texas channel, has been nominated for ten awards by 2013 College Sports Media Awards.
Award winners will be announced at a ceremony on Wednesday, May 29 at the Sports Video Group (SVG) College Sports Summit in Atlanta, Georgia. Since its inception five years ago, the Sports Media Awards have recognized the best in video production at all levels of college sports, ranging from regional and national networks to student productions and university athletic departments.
LHN has received nominations in all four categories in the Regional/Local Networks Division, including the “Live Game and Event Production” category, “Program Series” category, “Special Feature” category as well as the “Promotion, PSA or Video Marketing Campaign” category.
As in past years, nominees were selected by a highly regarded panel of sports industry professionals.
“We are excited and honored to be recognized by SVG and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics,” said Stephanie Druley, vice president of production. “These ten nominations reflect the hard work and creativity that are exhibited on a daily basis by LHN’s entire cast and crew.”
