2015 GEICO ESPN High School Football Kickoff: A Record 55 Ranked Players, More than 25 College Commits and the Top 5 Teams in the Country

  • ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU: Ten Games on August 28, 29 and 30
  • 33 Ranked Seniors, 22 Ranked Juniors
  • Alabama, Arizona State, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, and Texas A&M Commits to Participate
  • Nine Ranked Teams, Including Top 5 Ranked Teams and No. 2 vs. No. 5  

ESPNU will conclude Summer of Next with the 2015 GEICO ESPN High School Football Kickoff on Friday, August 28, through Sunday, August 30. The 10-game slate on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will feature a record  55 players ranked in the ESPN 300 and ESPN Junior 300, including No. 3 Nick Bosa (senior defensive end from St. Thomas Aquinas, Fla.), and commits from Alabama, Arizona State, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, and Texas A&M. Additionally, the Kickoff features nine ranked teams, including the top  5 teams in country: No. 1 De La Salle (Calif.), No.  2 Miami Central (Fla.), No. 3 Bishop Gorman (Nev.), No. 4 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), and No. 5 DeMatha Catholic (Md.).  No.  2 Miami Central will travel to No. 5 DeMatha Catholic in one of the two matchups featuring a ranked team vs. a ranked team.

Overall, the ESPN High School Football Kickoff will feature teams from ten states, including nine 2014 state champions. The 2015 GEICO ESPN High School Football Kickoff precedes the season-long 2015 GEICO ESPN High School Football Showcase.
