ESPN to Provide Coverage of Several College Football Conference Media Days This Month

As the college football season approaches, ESPN will provide coverage of several conference media days, beginning today, through the end of July, across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, Longhorn Network, ESPN3 and ACC Network Extra. Head coaches from the ACC, Big 12 and SEC will join several ESPN shows throughout the month to preview their upcoming seasons. In addition, College Football Live returns Wednesday, July 12, on ESPN2 from SEC Media Days in Hoover, Ala.

ESPNU Live from ACC Football Kickoff: Interviews with All 14 Coaches and Commissioner John Swofford

ESPNU will air two 90-minute shows from ACC Football Kickoff on Thursday, July 13 (4 p.m. ET) and Friday, July 14 (2:30 p.m.). Chris Cotter will host from the Westin in Charlotte, N.C., alongside analyst Tom Luginbill. All 14 ACC head coaches will be interviewed on set, along with Louisville quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson, Florida State’s Deondre Francois and Clemson’s Christian Wilkins. ACC Commissioner John Swofford will also join Cotter and Luginbill on set to discuss the upcoming season.

Additionally, ACC Network Extra will carry every coach and the commissioner’s media addresses on Thursday (10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) and Friday (9:15 a.m. – 3 p.m.). Atlantic Division head coaches, including Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, are scheduled to speak on Thursday, with the Coastal Division coaches scheduled for Friday.

College Football Live Returns, Nick Saban First Guest
ESPN’s daily college football news and opinion show, College Football Live, returns Wednesday, July 12, and Thursday, July 13, with special one-hour editions from SEC Media Days in Hoover, Ala., at 5 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, on ESPN2. Maria Taylor will host and be joined by analysts Paul Finebaum, Joey Galloway, Greg McElroy, Booger McFarland and Marcus Spears. Alabama’s Nick Saban is slated as the first guest for the show’s 2017 season debut. College Football Live will continue to cover various conference media days throughout the month, airing most weekdays.

College Football Live will air most weekdays 5-5:30 p.m. on ESPN2 throughout July and into August, before moving to 5:30 p.m. on August 15, also on ESPN2, for the season.

Head Coaches Join ESPN Shows

As head coaches address the media ahead of the college football season, several will also appear on ESPN shows throughout the month. From July 17-26, coaches from the ACC, Big 12 and SEC will venture to Bristol, Conn., and will join SportsCenter, College Football Live, Mike & Mike, First Take, Highly Questionable and The Paul Finebaum Show, among others, to talk about their upcoming seasons.

Every coach from the Big 12 will be on ESPN’s campus on July 20-21, followed by all 14 ACC coaches on July 24-25. Tennessee head coach Butch Jones will be in Bristol on July 17, with fellow SEC head coaches Ed Orgeron and Nick Saban visiting on July 19 and July 26, respectively. Additional coaches will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

SEC Network
SEC Network will air more than 30 hours from SEC Football Media Days inside the Hyatt Regency Birmingham – Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover, Ala., beginning today, and concluding Thursday, July 13. Complete schedule and details are available here.

Longhorn Network
LHN will televise the Big 12 Media Days on July 17 and 18 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. each day. Alex Loeb will report from Dallas, while Lowell Galindo and Ahmad Brooks provide coverage from LHN’s studio.

Live on SportsCenter
SportsCenter
will provide news and updates from on-site commentators and ESPN.com reporters at ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC media days, with Michele Steele reporting from Big Ten (July 24-25) in Chicago, Ill.

Streaming on ESPN3: Live From the Podium
The American Athletic, Big 12, Big South, MAC, Northeast, Southland and Sun Belt conference media days will also be streamed on ESPN3 and available on the ESPN app.
