Soccer on ESPN: 30 for 30 Film on George Best; Manchester Derby in Houston

30 for 30 Film on Soccer Star George Best Premieres Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN
ESPN Films will debut the 30 for 30 documentary, “George Best: All by Himself,” Thursday, July 20, at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN leading into the Manchester United vs Manchester City game. Directed by BAFTA award-winning director Daniel Gordon (Hillsborough), the film recounts the tale of the beloved but bedeviled superstar George Best. Trailer: http://es.pn/2tMr0tJ

The film will begin at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN, with the Manchester United vs. Manchester City game, held at NRG Stadium in Houston, immediately following (10 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN Deportes). The film will be available On Demand and streamed on the ESPN app.

Preseason Manchester Derby in Houston; UEFA Women’s EURO 2017; Doubleheader MLS Weekend; and more

ESPN and ESPN Deportes’ presentation of the 2017 International Champions Cup (ICC) – a series of 19 international club soccer matches in the United States, Singapore and China – begins this week. The key matchup this week includes the Manchester Derby (Manchester United vs. Manchester City) in Houston on Thursday, July 20, at 10 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. All matches will stream live on the ESPN App.

ESPN’s presentation of UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 continues this week from Netherlands with group stage matches. The quadrennial tournament features three teams in the top five of FIFA’s rankings – defending UEFA champion Germany (#2), France (#3) and England (#5) – and eight teams from the top 15 in the rankings.

ESPN and ESPN Deportes will present two Major League Soccer matches this weekend: Orlando City SC vs. Atlanta United FC on Friday at 7 p.m., and Minnesota United FC vs. New York Red Bulls on Saturday at 4 p.m. Saturday’s match will kick-off an unprecedented stretch of eight hours of live soccer action on ESPN Deportes that will conclude with Liga MX – Leon vs. Atlas – beginning at 10 p.m.
