ESPN, Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc. announced today that they have reached a settlement in their lawsuit filed in the Supreme Court of the State of New York in April 2015. The terms of the settlement remain confidential and will not be disclosed.
Starting today, cloud-based live TV service PlayStation™Vue adds even more value to its lineup of sports and entertainment programming with the launch of Longhorn Network in Texas and Oklahoma. PlayStation™Vue is getting a big addition to its lineup of sports, family, and primetime TV programming with the launch of Disney and ESPN Media Networks. Starting today, ESPN, ABC, Disney Channel, and other popular networks from Disney and ESPN Media Networks are available on PlayStation Vue, the pioneering live TV service from Sony Network Entertainment International LLC. This marks the first time Disney and ESPN networks are offered over the internet in a multi-channel pay TV service with multiple streams and cloud DVR.

Beginning today, video subscribers with iOS 9 and Android handsets and tablets can download a new update to the ESPN app that will allow them to stream live events from WatchESPN directly within the app. The update comes ahead of the conclusion of the college football regular season, bowl games and College Football Playoff.

Disney and ESPN Media Networks and Sony Network Entertainment International LLC (SNEI) today announced an agreement to bring the company’s media networks to PlayStation™Vue, the pioneering cloud-based live TV service. Disney will offer ESPN, ABC-owned local stations, Disney Channel, ABC Family, and more networks on PlayStation Vue with the service’s unique features, including the ability to play multiple streams from one account and a powerful, intuitive user interface. In addition, local ABC affiliate stations will also have the opportunity to opt-in to the PlayStation Vue service with their live linear programming.
