Today at the ARF Annual Conference in New York City, ESPN’s Fan and Media Intelligence group presented key viewership findings from the first full year of Out of Home (OOH) data. ESPN has been a first mover in OOH, working in collaboration with Nielsen Media Research, and was the first network to ever secure advertising deals that include OOH as part of overall audience measurement.

Last week marked the beginning of a nationwide rollout of the ESPN App on AT&T DIRECTV set top boxes, allowing subscribers to seamlessly switch between all ESPN live and on-demand video to their TVs through a hybrid interface. It is the first time ESPN has made this app-like service combining both linear and streaming content available through a traditional distributor on set top boxes.
Driven by ESPN Fantasy Football and coverage of the NFL, College Football, MLB playoffs and an historic World Series, ESPN reached 99.3 million unique visitors in the U.S. in October, the second-largest total ever for ESPN and up 8 percent over the same month a year ago.
ESPN, Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc. announced today that they have reached a settlement in their lawsuit filed in the Supreme Court of the State of New York in April 2015. The terms of the settlement remain confidential and will not be disclosed.
Starting today, cloud-based live TV service PlayStation™Vue adds even more value to its lineup of sports and entertainment programming with the launch of Longhorn Network in Texas and Oklahoma. The University of Texas sports channel will be available through PlayStation Vue’s Core multi-channel plan starting at $34.99 in select cities.

ESPN returns with coverage of the 2016 VIVO Indian Premiere League season (April 9th-May 29th) by offering live and on-demand streaming in the U.S. through ESPN Cricket Pass, a subscription streaming service accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices through a dedicated website and app. Additionally, ESPN has reached an agreement with Mediacom to make all 60 matches available live for purchase via pay per view. Additional PPV distributors will be announced at a later date.
PlayStation™Vue is getting a big addition to its lineup of sports, family, and primetime TV programming with the launch of Disney and ESPN Media Networks. Starting today, ESPN, ABC, Disney Channel, and other popular networks from Disney and ESPN Media Networks are available on PlayStation Vue, the pioneering live TV service from Sony Network Entertainment International LLC. This marks the first time Disney and ESPN networks are offered over the internet in a multi-channel pay TV service with multiple streams and cloud DVR.
