On Wednesday, the NBA’s budding New York rivalry will take center stage as the Brooklyn Nets and Brook Lopez visit the Eastern Conference-leading New York Knicks and Carmelo Anthony at Madison Square Garden at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. Mike Breen will call the game with analyst Jeff Van Gundy and reporter Chris Broussard. Extensive College Football Bowl Coverage Continues
ESPN’s extensive college football bowl coverage – 34 bowl games, highlighted by all five of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) matchups, including the Discover BCS National Championship (No. 1 Notre Dame vs. No. 2 Alabama) – will continue this week.
Beginning Thursday, Dec. 20, an ESPN outlet will offer coverage of at least one game for 16 out of the 19 days through January 7. A complete schedule with commentator assignments is available on ESPN Media Zone.
Men’s College Hoops: Seven of Top 10 Teams in Action
ESPN’s Holiday Hoops Presented by Kay Jewelers will conclude Sunday, Dec. 23, and includes telecasts of seven of the top 10 ranked teams in the final four days. As part of the action involving teams from the top 10, ESPN2 will televise No. 12 vs. No. 10 Illinois in the Bud Light Braggin Rights matchup from St. Louis on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 6 p.m.
In addition, ESPNU will televise the first eight games of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic from Saturday, Dec. 22, to Sunday, Dec. 23. Participating teams include No. 4 Arizona, No. 18 San Diego State, San Francisco, Ole Miss, Miami, Hawaii, Indiana State and East Tennessee State.

Women’s college basketball resumes with a top 10 matchup between No. 10 Tennessee and defending national champion No. 3 Baylor on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 8 p.m. on ESPN and WatchESPN as part of Holiday Hoops presented by Kay Jewelers. On Friday, Washington travels to Georgia Tech for a noon game on ESPN3.

Pardon the Interruption Special: Notre Dame Timeline will air Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN. The 30-minute special will document the past decade of Notre Dame football through 10 years of PTI conversations between hosts Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon, beginning with the decision to fire head coach Bob Davie in 2001 and culminating with this season’s No. 1 ranking and berth in the BCS Championship Game. The Notre Dame PTImeline follows the retrospective of LeBron James’ basketball career, which debuted three weeks ago and has received over 270,000 YouTube views at the Grantland Channel. Lions Wide Receiver Nate Burleson to Appear on ESPN as NFL Guest Analyst
Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson will join ESPN as a guest analyst on several shows Wednesday, Dec. 19, and Thursday, Dec. 20. Burleson, the Lions No. 2 receiver before he suffered a season-ending broken leg in Week 7, will appear on First Take (ESPN2, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.) on Wednesday and SportsCenter (ESPN, 12 – 3 p.m.) and NFL Live (ESPN, 4 p.m.) on Wednesday and Thursday. On NFL Live, Burleson will be paired with Jerry Rice, the current NFL single-season receiving record-holder, to discuss Burleson’s teammate Calvin Johnson, who is 181 yards from breaking Rice’s single-season receiving record, the Detroit Lions season, and preview Saturday’s special Atlanta at Detroit Monday Night Football game.
Ray Rice and Ahmad Bradshaw Visit Bristol for a Game of ESPN Sports Connection
The newly released ESPN Sports Connection game for Nintendo Wii U will bring Sunday’s NFL match-up five days early for a carwash on ESPN’s various programs and platforms. Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants running backs Ray Rice and Ahmad Bradshaw will make live appearances Tuesday, Dec. 18, on SportsCenter, Mike & Mike in the Morning, SVP & Russillo, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Fantasy Focus, First Take, a taping of NFL Live, and a special SportsNation takeover show live at 4 p.m. on ESPN2. Additionally, they will be part of a live chat on ESPN.com.
As part of their visit, fans will be able to interact with Rice and Bradshaw via social media with a chance to win giveaways and prizes. Throughout the day, anytime Rice or Bradshaw say “Sports Connection” on-air, ESPN will give away a copy of the family friendly sports game to fans that tweet at the show’s Twitter handle with “ESPN Sports Connection” and hashtag #BradshawandRice. The star running backs will interact with fans throughout the day using the same hashtag, and a randomly selected winner that tweets within 15 minutes of each mention will be awarded.
ESPN Sports Connection marks ESPN’s debut presence in the casual multi-sport gaming space and its first collaboration with Ubisoft. ESPN Sports Connection exclusively for Nintendo Wii U is in stores now.
No. 2 Jabari Parker Live College Announcement Thursday
The No. 2 college basketball recruit Jabari Parker will make his college decision live Thursday, Dec. 20, at 4 p.m. during ESPN Recruiting Nation on ESPNU. Parker had final visits at Michigan State, Duke, BYU and Florida and coaches Mike Krzyzewski (Duke), Tom Izzo (Michigan State) and Dave Rose (BYU) attended his ESPN High School Showcase game against DeSoto last week. Parker is one of four players in the ESPN 100 Top Ten unsigned. Other Top Ten players in the 2013 class have committed to Kentucky, Indiana and Florida. Dari Nowkhah will host with ESPN recruiting analysts Paul Biancardi and Dave Telep.
