ESPNU All-Access inside Virginia Lacrosse
Just two days after the 2012 NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship Selection Show Presented by Enterprise Rent-A-Car, ESPNU will feature an exclusive inside look at this year’s NCAA defending champions the University of Virginia. There and Back: All-Access with Virginia Lacrosse will air in two half-hour shows (Tuesday, May 8, and Wednesday, May 9, at 6:30 p.m.) exploring the players, coaches and facilities that contribute to the team’s success on the field.
After achieving the ultimate success in 2011, the All-Access special goes inside the program over the course of the 2012 season with an exclusive look into the locker room, team practices and strength training sessions. The program also introduces fans to the heart and soul of the team, taking viewers inside the dorm rooms, team meals and bus rides that translate into team camaraderie and victory for the Cavaliers, currently ranked No. 6.
“What I would tell you about being at Virginia, is that we are hardly ever quite as talented as everybody thinks…but we are generally talented enough and it’s the other things that make the difference,” said head coach Dom Starsia. “Are we willing to sacrifice? What kind of commitments are you willing to make? What are you willing to give up for the greater good. When we have kids that are willing to do those kinds of things, then usually we are on our way to a special season.”
