Cardinals-Yankees on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball; Cardinals with Three Games on ESPN This Week

This weekend on ESPN’s exclusive, full-national Sunday Night Baseball presented by Taco Bell, the St. Louis Cardinals and Dexter Fowler travel to Yankee Stadium to take on the New York Yankees and Jacoby Ellsbury. Dan Shulman will have the call with analysts Jessica Mendoza and Aaron Boone and reporter Buster Olney beginning at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Chevrolet will lead into the action at 7 p.m. on ESPN with host Karl Ravech and analyst Eduardo Perez and reporter Tim Kurkjian.

Jon Sciambi and Chris Singleton will have the call for Sunday’s game on ESPN Radio. They will also be in the booth when the two teams meet the day before on Saturday with coverage starting at noon.

Today, April 11, the Cardinals, in their first of three ESPN games this week, face the Washington Nationals and Bryce Harper. Jon Sciambi will be working alongside analysts Rick Sutcliffe and Doug Glanville. The telecast begins at 7 p.m. and will be blacked out in the St. Louis market. Jay Crawford will recap the action with Dallas Braden and Kurkjian on Baseball Tonight at 10 p.m. and midnight on ESPN2.

Monday, April 17, the Cardinals host the Pittsburgh Pirates and Starling Marte on Monday Night Baseball presented by USAA. The full national telecast will be called by Dave Flemming, Perez and Braden beginning at 7 p.m. on ESPN. Ravech will host Baseball Tonight with Raul Ibanez and Kurkjian at 10 p.m. on ESPN. Ibanez and Kurkjian join host Adnan Virk at midnight on ESPN2.

The ESPN NBA regular season will conclude with an NBA Wednesday presented by State Farm doubleheader April 12 beginning with the Atlanta Hawks and Kent Bazemore visiting the Indiana Pacers and Paul George at 8 p.m. ET. Mark Jones, Hall of Famer and analyst Hubie Brown will call the action. At 10:30 p.m., the New Orleans Pelicans and Anthony Davis will visit the Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard. Dave Pasch and analyst Doris Burke will be on the call.

NBA Countdown charged by Mountain Dew will precede Wednesday’s doubleheader at 7 p.m. on ESPN. Host Michelle Beadle will be joined by analysts Jalen Rose, Chauncey Billups and Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady.

The Jump— ESPN’s daily NBA studio show hosted by Rachel Nichols— airs weekdays at 3 p.m. on ESPN with NBA analysts/insiders. Friday’s guests include Golden State Warriors’ player Stephen Curry, retired NBA All-Star Ray Allen among others.

NBA Playoff Preview Show presented by Kia will air on Friday, April 14 from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. with Nichols, McGrady and insider Brian Windhorst.

NFL Draft Prospect Patrick Mahomes on ESPN TV and Radio Shows Today

NFL Draft prospect Patrick Mahomes is visiting ESPN today and will appear on a variety of ESPN TV and radio shows as a guest. The Texas Tech quarterback is expected to join Mike and Mike, SportsCenter, Russillo and Kanell, NFL Insiders, NFL Live, and Highly Questionable. Additionally, Mahomes was one of seven quarterbacks to participate in the eighth season of Gruden’s QB Camp. His episode will debut tomorrow, April 12, at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Mahomes will also be a guest on next week’s edition of Adam Schefter’s podcast: Know Them from Adam.

Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett, the projected No. 1 overall pick by both ESPN NFL Draft analysts Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay, also visited ESPN this week. Garrett made appearances on ESPN studio shows yesterday (photos via ESPN Images), and he is on the cover of ESPN The Magazine’s NFL Draft issue.

30 for 30: “One and Not Done” Premieres Thursday on ESPN

The next installment in ESPN Films’ award-winning 30 for 30 series will be “One and Not Done,” which will take an intimate look at University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari’s successful yet controversial journey. The film, directed by Jonathan Hock (“Of Miracles and Men,” “Survive and Advance,” “The Best That Never Was”) will premiere Thursday, April 13, at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Hock takes viewers behind the scenes with never-before-seen footage as Calipari tries to reach the Final Four for the seventh time and win his second national title. “One and Not Done” features exclusive interviews with some of the players whose lives he changed, including Marcus Camby, Lou Roe, Derrick Rose, John Wall and Anthony Davis.

ESPN Original Series “We The Fans” Premieres April 11

The first two episodes of ESPN’s new original series “We The Fans,” which examines what it means to be a true “diehard” sports fan, premiere Tuesday, April 11, on ESPN. The multi-platform, eight-episode series takes a look at the lives of Chicago Bears 2016 season ticket holders and follows the ups and downs of the people whose hearts are always with their team. The first four episodes are currently available on WatchESPN.

 SC Featured Follows Cubs World Series Ring Bearers

After the Chicago Cubs’ victory in last fall’s World Series electrified the Windy City, the team held a contest on Twitter to find 20 ring bearers who would participate in the team’s World Series ring ceremony. SC Featured was with six of the winners as they were told they’d been selected. The feature will debut in the 10 a.m. ET edition of SportsCenter on Sunday, April 16, and will re-air in other editions of the program throughout the day.

UEFA Champions League continues on ESPN Deportes with first leg of a home-and-away quarterfinal series on Tuesday with Borussia Dortmund vs. AS Monaco at 3:30 p.m. ET, and Wednesday features Bayern Munich vs. current European titleholders Real Madrid at 2:30 p.m.
