NFL Nation Reporter: Arizona Cardinals

Josh Weinfuss joined ESPN in September 2013 as the Arizona Cardinals NFL Nation reporter. While his main duties are writing for ESPN.com, he also appears on ESPN’s SportsCenter and NFL Live and has contributed to ESPN The Magazine. Additionally, Weinfuss can be heard on Phoenix radio on 910 AM – KGME.

In his primary duties for ESPN.com, Weinfuss offers news, analysis, commentary and opinion on all things related to the Cardinals. Those endeavors have allowed him to go in-depth on stories about Tyrann Mathieu’s return to football in 2013 and Hall of Famer Aeneas Williams’ pursuit to bring change to Ferguson, Mo., in 2015, as well as chronicle the day that changed Bruce Arians’ career in 2017.

Prior to joining ESPN, Weinfuss covered the Cardinals for their team website. He also spent a year as the sports enterprise reporter at the Times of Northwest Indiana after four years as a sports writer at the Panama City (Fla.) News Herald.

A member of the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA), Weinfuss graduated from Indiana University’s journalism school in 2005. After seven years as a newspaper reporter, he earned a master’s of sports journalism from Indiana University in 2012.

Weinfuss is a native of Minnetonka, Minn. He resides in Scottsdale, Ariz., with his wife, Lauren, and their daughter, Madison.
