Mike McQuade

Vice President, Production

Mike McQuade, who joined ESPN in May 1987, was named vice president, production, in July 2014. He oversees all nighttime editions of SportsCenter, including the 11 p.m. ET show, SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt (midnight ET) and the 1 a.m. edition that airs from Los Angeles. He also oversees the weekend 6 p.m. editions.

McQuade also has oversight of ESPN’s highlights operation that creates content for SportsCenter and digital platforms, and he oversees ESPN’s live coverage of golf events including the Masters.

Previously, as Vice President of Remote Production, he oversaw all of ESPN’s Major League Baseball coverage and was responsible for premiere events like the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, ESPN’s major golf events and The Belmont Stakes. He also previously was vice president, studio production, in charge of all NASCAR studio shows – including NASCAR Now and NASCAR Countdown – as well as First Take.

McQuade was a SportsCenter Producer (1993-96) and Coordinating Producer (1996-1999). From September 1999 to 2006, The New York native and Syracuse grad was a Senior Coordinating Producer, primarily responsible for all NBA studio shows on ESPN and ABC, in addition to managing ESPNEWS, including its re-launch Sept. 7, 2001.
