Mike Corey

Mike Corey joined ESPN in 2011 as a play-by-play commentator and primarily calls college football, college basketball and college lacrosse, including bowl games and conference tournament games.

Corey’s play-by-play career has spanned more than 18 years and includes calling football, basketball and lacrosse for ESPN, NBC and FOX.  He has been the voice of field hockey for the last three Summer Olympic games with NBC (2016 Rio, 2012 London, 2008 Beijing).  He also broadcasted short track and long track Speed Skating for two Winter Olympics with Westwood One (2010 Vancouver, 2006 Torino) and has done Play-by-play for NCAA Women’s basketball tournament games.

Corey graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 1999 with a BA in Communications.  One month after graduation he began his professional career when he was hired as the “Voice of the Blue Hens,” doing the play-by-play for the University of Delaware football and basketball games on the radio, a position he held for 13 years from 1999-2012.

He is a three-time winner for Delaware Sportscaster of the Year (2010, 2005, 2003) by the National Sports Media Association and is a four-time winner of Best Presentation and Sports play-by-play by the Delaware Press Association.

Corey is a native of Brattleboro, VT and lives in Blackwood, NJ.
