Six-time MLB All-Star and two-time batting champion Nomar Garciaparra is returning to ESPN to serve as an analyst for 18 games during the 2015 Little League World Series presented by Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, Aug. 20-30, from Williamsport, Pa.

Garciaparra will debut on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN. Additionally, he will join Karl Ravech, analyst Kyle Peterson, and reporter Jaymee Sire to provide commentary for all of the championship games on ABC, including the Little League World Series Championship (Sunday, Aug. 30 at 3 p.m.), Little League U.S. Championship (Saturday, Aug. 29 at 3:30 p.m.), and Little League International Championship (Saturday, Aug. 29 at 12:30 p.m.).

“Nomar has the ability to take his Major League Baseball and collegiate baseball experience back to our ESPN Little League telecasts, blending teaching with entertainment,” said Tom McNeeley, ESPN coordinating producer.

Garciaparra—a former Silver Slugger Award winner and A.L. Rookie of the Year— will also contribute to the Little League Web Gems/World Series by Subway on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. on ESPN.

He joined ESPN in 2010 shortly after retiring from Major League Baseball. During his tenure at ESPN, he was an analyst for MLB games and Baseball Tonight. He also made appearances on SportsCenter.
