ESPN will televise the Fort Bragg Game Presented by Chevrolet  on a special edition of Sunday Night Baseball presented by Taco Bell – Miami Marlins vs. Atlanta Braves – on Sunday, July 3, at 8 p.m. ET. The game will emanate from a newly-constructed 12,500-seat baseball stadium on the famous Fort Bragg U.S. Army Base in North Carolina.

Dan Shulman, the voice of Sunday Night Baseball, will provide commentary, with analysts Jessica Mendoza and Aaron Boone and reporter Buster Olney. The telecast will also be streamed via WatchESPN. Additionally, the “Fort Bragg Game” will be available on ESPN Radio, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Deportes Radio.

Additionally, Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Chevrolet will precede the Fort Bragg Game with a one-hour, on-site pre-game telecast at 7 p.m. on ESPN from the army base. Karl Ravech will host coverage with analyst Dallas Braden and insider Tim Kurkjian.

ESPN will also cover a PLAY BALL youth event and ceremony where Chevrolet is donating new baseball and softball equipment for the children of  parents and guardians that are stationed at Fort Bragg as part of their ongoing support for the PLAY BALL initiative and youth baseball and softball, in general.

“Fort Bragg Game” production highlights:

  • Vignettes and photos of the Fort Bragg Army Base.
  • Interviews with military personnel stationed at Fort Bragg.
  • Segments with analysts Aaron Boone and Jessica Mendoza participating in military drills.
  • Elements which connect baseball and the military throughout history.

ESPN’s SportsCenter will include updates and reports from various ESPN MLB commentators at Fort Bragg throughout the day on Sunday, July 3, leading into the “Fort Bragg Game.”

In support of Major League Baseball’s Fort Bragg Game Presented by Chevrolet, ESPN Corporate Citizenship is pleased to make a donation of $100,000 to the Boys & Girls Club, US Army Garrison Ft. Bragg to start a new Jr. RBI playing division in MLB’s Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program.  Jr. RBI is designed to provide playing opportunities, in younger baseball and softball divisions, for children ages 5-12.  With the donation, the Club will be able to serve at least 300 youth participating in Jr. RBI.  This donation further expands ESPN’s commitment to growing the game of baseball and softball, America’s favorite pastime sports.
