ESPN and ESPN Deportes to Televise FC Cincinnati vs. Chicago Fire FC on Wednesday, June 28 at 8 p.m. ET

ESPN and ESPN Deportes will present the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 match featuring United Soccer League’s FC Cincinnati vs. Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire on Wednesday, June 28, live from Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. Coverage will begin at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT) and will be streamed live on the ESPN App.

FC Cincinnati reached the Round of 16 after beating Columbus Crew SC, another MLS team, 1-0 at Nippert Stadium on Wednesday, June 14, in front of 30,160 fans. The Fire advanced to the Round of 16 after a 1-0 victory over Saint Louis FC 1-0 on the same day at Toyota Stadium in Fenton, Mo.

Currently ranked No. 2 in Major League Soccer standings, the Chicago Fire is led by 2014 FIFA World Cup champion and former German National Team midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and Hungarian National Team forward Nemanja Nikolić – the leading goal scorer in Major League Soccer.

ESPN’s lead English-language commentator team for domestic soccer – Adrian Healey, Taylor Twellman and reporter Julie Stewart-Binks – will call the match. Robert Sierra and Barak Fever will handle Spanish-language commentary on ESPN Deportes.
