ESPN Adds Four MLB Postseason Impact Game Telecasts to September Slate

ESPN today announced it has added four MLB Postseason Impact Game telecasts, including a possible American League Wild Card Game preview, to its September slate as part of the Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Race to Zero. The games are expected to directly impact the 2017 MLB Postseason race. Current MLB standings are available on

On Tuesday, Sept. 19, the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians and Francisco Lindor visit the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Mike Trout in a full-national telecast at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Angels are currently only two games behind the Minnesota Twins as they compete for the final spot in the AL Wild Card Game.

On Wednesday, Sept. 20, the Twins take on the New York Yankees and Aaron Judge in a possible AL Wild Card Game preview at 1 p.m. on ESPN. Blackout restrictions for this telecast in the New York market will be announced at a later date.

On Friday, Sept. 22, the defending World Series Champion Chicago Cubs and Anthony Rizzo visit the Milwaukee Brewers and Ryan Braun in a full-national telecast at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.

On Wednesday, Sept. 27, the AL West-leading Houston Astros and Carlos Correa travel to Arlington to take on the Texas Rangers and Elvis Andrus. The full-national telecast will start at 2 p.m. on ESPN.
