College GameDay Heads to SEC Championship Game in Atlanta as No. 1 Alabama faces No. 4 Georgia

The top two SEC teams meet again. Ahead of the rematch of last year’s College Football Playoff championship game, College GameDay Built by The Home Depot will be live from International Plaza, just outside of Mercedes Benz Stadium, from 9 a.m. – noon ET, on ESPN and ESPNU. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart will join the set live at 11 a.m. ahead of the SEC championship game, as the Bulldogs face the Alabama Tide. Additionally, College Football Playoff Selection Committee Chair Rob Mullens will also join the show to discuss Selection Day.

Live programming, including SportsCenter and College Football Live, will occur throughout the day on Friday, Nov. 30, and leading into the show on Saturday morning.

College GameDay continues to be recognized as sports media’s most successful studio show, as the premier pregame show was awarded the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Studio Show Weekly, winning that category for the fifth consecutive year and its eighth time overall in the category. The show’s journalism and operations technical expertise was also recognized, capturing Sports Emmys for Outstanding Short Feature and Outstanding Tech Team Studio. To date, the show has won 10 Emmys in the last 11 years.
