This week’s NBA on ESPN slate is highlighted by Wednesday’s matchup between two MVP candidates as Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks travel to Houston to face James Harden and the Rockets at 8 p.m. Antetokounmpo is highlighted in this ESPN promotional spot leading into the game.

Mark Jones will provide commentary with analyst Jeff Van Gundy. In the nightcap, the Western Conference Los Angeles Lakers hosts the Eastern Conference Detroit Pistons at 10:30 p.m. Dave Pasch will provide commentary with analyst Mark Jackson. The telecast will be subject to local blackout restrictions in the Los Angeles home market.

Friday’s slate begins at 7:30 p.m. when the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers battle it out at Madison Square Garden exclusively on ESPN. Mike Breen will be courtside with analyst Doris Burke and reporter Lisa Salters to cover the Eastern Conference matchup. In the Western conference nightcap, the Los Angeles Lakers return to ESPN when the team hosts the Utah Jazz. Dave Pasch will provide commentary with analyst Jeff Van Gundy. The telecast will be subject to local blackout restrictions in the Los Angeles home market.

NBA Countdown, ESPN’s NBA pregame show, will tip off game coverage for each night at 7:00 p.m. as host Michelle Beadle joins analysts Paul Pierce, Chauncey Billups and Jalen Rose to preview the doubleheaders and give halftime reports.

The final episode of More Than An Athlete will be available today, exclusively on ESPN+, the premium direct-to-consumer sports service from The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) segment and ESPN. Episode eight wraps up the series that documents the journey of LeBron James and his friends/business partners Maverick Carter, Rich Paul and Randy Mims.  The series blends archival footage with new interviews and candid conversations between the four men as they recount successes, failures and key milestones in their shared journey.

ESPN’s The Jump will air at 3 p.m. this week, hosted by Rachel Nichols and featuring a cast of high-profile analysts, reporters and guests. On Tuesday’s episode, Nichols interviews 2x NBA All-Star, Kemba Walker, to discuss his game thus far this season.
